SiM Poster: Sherlock Holmes

Warner issues two more ads to tease awaiting fans of Holmes franchise

Even though Guy Ritchie's highly-anticipated Sherlock Holmes feature film will not hit theatres until Christmas Day, Warner Bros. has released two more promo posters to Yahoo! Movies, featuring Robert Downey, Jr. (as Holmes) and Jude Law (as Watson) and taglines "Nothing Escapes Him" and "Crime Will Pay," respectively. SiM Poster: The Ugly Truth

Butler & Heigl bring star power to new movie with worn-out love story

In Robert Luketic's upcoming romantic comedy The Ugly Truth (Columbia Pictures), Gerard Butler (300) stars as Mike Chadway, a male chauvinist TV correspondent who gets under the skin of the beautiful Abby Richter, a "romantically-challenged" morning TV show producer played by Katherine Heigl (Knocked Up). Guess what? They fall in love! Not exactly a new premise, but with Hollywood elite like Butler and Heigl--and the director of Legally Blonde--this chick flick is sure to be at least a modest box office hit. Set for a July 24th launch, The Ugly Truth also stars TV vets Cheryl Hines (Cheryl in Curb Your Enthusiasm), Eric Winter (Rex in Days of Our Lives) and Bonnie Somerville (Mona in Friends). Here are a couple of the promo posters Columbia has issued for the movie.

SiM Poster: The Final Destination

Sequel season isn't over, as Final Destination franchise is rekindled

UGO.com had exclusively acquired rights to the first look at the poster for The Final Destination, the fourth (and supposedly final) film in the eponymous 9-year-old supernatural horror franchise. Previously christened Final Destination: Death Trip 3D, the $43 million feature will be shown in HD 3-D starting August 28th.

David R. Ellis, who directed part II (2003) of the series, returns to helm this Warner Bros. project, which will most likely win back some of the fans the franchise lost with the third installment (2006). The Final Destination was written by Eric Bress (Final Destination 2 & 3) and stars no-names Bobby Campo (Legally Blondes), Haley Webb (Big Game), Nick Zano (Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead), Krista Allen (Liar Liar), and former swimsuit model Shantel VanSanten (You and I).
