SiM Poster: Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World
Not entirely sure if this will be the final poster seen hanging up in theatres but during the Licensing International Expo (held in fabulous Las Vegas this year!) someone snapped a picture of the poster. The trade show is for leveraging properties and brand equity to develop merchandise, Licensing International Expo attracts more than 500 exhibitors representing more than 7,000 brands and properties in entertainment, sports, fashion & apparel, publishing, art & design, automotive, animation/anime, home & housewares, and lifestyle. Edgar Wright directs Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Chris Evans, Brandon Routh, Kieran Culkin and many more in this comic book adaptation! The movie is slated for a 2010 release.

Synopsis: Charlyne Yi doesn't believe in love, at the very least, she doesn’t believe in fairy-tale love or the Hollywood myth that is love, and her own experiences have turned her into a modern-day skeptic. The film follows Charlyne, as she embarks on a quest across America to make a documentary about the one subject she doesn’t fully understand. Searching for the answers or advice about love, Charlyne talks with everyone from her friends to strangers. They each offer diverse views on modern romance, as well as various answers to the age-old question: does true love really exist? During filming, Charlyne meets a boy after her own heart: Michael Cera. As their relationship develops on camera, her pursuit to discover the nature of love takes on a fresh new urgency. Charlyne risks losing the person she finds closest to her heart. Combining elements of documentary and traditional storytelling, reality and fantasy, Paper Heart brings a fresh perspective to the modern romance and redefines the classic love story

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World website launches with production diaries

Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) has been doing what he can to make his fans happy, posting a new photo daily on his blog. He is also taking this one step further with the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World website, which will be hosting a weekly video blog. Below is the first video blog hosted by the director, but be sure to check out www.scottpilgrimthemovie.com for more updates.
The film is based off the Scott Pilgrim comic book series by Bryan Lee O'Malley, intended to eventually consist of six digest-sized black-and-white graphic novels. The first volume was released in 2004 and, as of 2009, five have been released, all published by Portland, Oregon independent comic book publisher Oni Press.
Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) is a charming, jobless, bass guitarist for totally average garage band Sex Bob-omb, the 22-year-old has just met the girl of his dreams…literally. The one catch to winning Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) heart, Scott must defeat her seven evil ex boyfriends that are coming to kill him.

Year One
On June 19th, 2009 we will see the release of the Judd Apatow produced comedy starring Jack Black and Michael Cera. This film is drawing comparisons to Monty Python's The Life of Brian.
