Synopsis: This modern-day B-movie thrasher, which is not associated with Stephen King's book series of the same name, has a group of L.A. filmmakers who travel to Finland to make a movie about an abandoned mental institution near the Russian border, where a mad doctor filmed himself murdering his own patients back in the early-'70s. When the film crew come upon Dr. Andersson's snuff film collection in the remote hospital's basement, the crew's director Stephen (Porter) is inspired to make his own "snuff" production, killing off his own crew one-by-one. The 92-minute horror flick, which fashioned itself after the gore of the Saw and Hostil franchises, was made by a group of amateurs, which shows in the trailer below. Skeleton Crew marks the debut of all of its stars as well, and will be released in limited theatres this July.
